Auto Performance Bands
After marks are entered, Chatmadi automatically calculates the class average and assigns a performance band to each student relative to that average. The six bands are: Excelling (well above average), On Track (near average), Monitor (somewhat below), Concern (significantly below), Critical (well below passing), and Absent. Bands update automatically as marks are added or corrected.
Class Rank Assignment
Class ranks are calculated automatically based on total marks across all subjects in an exam. Ranks update in real time as marks are entered. In the case of tied scores, the rank is shared and the next rank is skipped correctly. Ranks are visible to admin and principals and can be included in report cards.
Multi-Term Weighted Results
Configure terms such as FA1, SA1, FA2, and SA2 with a weightage percentage for each that sums to 100%. Chatmadi computes the weighted result automatically for each student across all configured terms. This is particularly relevant for CBSE schools following the Formative and Summative Assessment structure.
Subject Difficulty Analysis
The principal analytics dashboard classifies each subject in each exam as Easy, Moderate, Hard, or Very Hard based on the distribution of marks across the class. This helps principals identify whether a low class performance in a subject reflects student preparation or an unusually difficult paper, and act accordingly.
At-Risk Student Intervention Flags
Students who show a combination of risk signals simultaneously, such as low exam scores, high absence rate, and open welfare flags, are flagged for intervention in the principal dashboard. These combined-signal flags are more reliable predictors of serious academic risk than any single metric alone.
Personalised Result Messages via WhatsApp
When results are published, each parent receives a WhatsApp message personalised for their child. The message is generated by AI and references the student's specific performance context rather than using a single generic template for the entire class. A parent of a student who improved significantly gets a different message from a parent whose child needs support.
Print-Ready Class Register
Generate a landscape A4 class register showing all students' marks across all subjects for any exam. This register can be printed for record-keeping, signed by the principal, and filed as a physical document. The format matches the standard mark register format used in Indian schools.
